Guys and Dolls Set in the Broadway area of New York City in the 1940s, "Guys
and Dolls" is a story about gambling, romance, morality and
salvation. The story centres around Nathan Detroit, the organizer
of the "oldest established permanent floating crap game in
New York." He needs $1000 to hold the next game, so makes
a bet for that amount with high-stakes man Sky Masterson. The
bet is that Sky can't make Miss Sarah Brown, a pure-at-heart reforming
member of the Save-a-Soul Mission, fall in love with him. Sky
takes the bet, and starts out on his pursuit. Who will win the
bet, and at what cost? |
